Ectropion

Definition:

Subjective: An outward turning (eversion) or rotation of the eyelid margin

Comments:

This term is derived from Cheng and Biglan [2002]. This finding is frequently associated with overexposure of the palpebral and scleral conjunctiva and cornea. It usually involves the lower eyelid. Modifiers such as lower and lateral may be applied as appropriate.
