Uvula, Broad

Definition:

Subjective: Increased width of the uvula

Comments:

This finding often accompanies a Submucous cleft palate, but this should be coded separately. A longitudinal groove indicating incomplete fusion of the two parts of the uvula may be present with a broadened uvula and has sometimes been called abortive cleft uvula.
